Many of you are already aware that Mountain Park Travel Canada is no longer operating. In September 2009, we ended our Preferred Supplier relationship with American Express (18 Years) and Virtuoso (12 Years).

We will forever be grateful to these leading travel consortia for providing us the opportunity to share our expertise and passion, planning vacations in the Canadian Rockies. We have been honored to work with some of the most talented and successful Travel Professionals in the World.

The MPT commitment to sell vacations exclusively through Travel Agents was a policy we honored for 30 years and will be remembered as one of the best decisions in our business history.

For those of you who know us well, you understand this decision was beyond difficult.  It has simply become impossible to operate successfully as a tour operator promoting FIT travel to high-end customers in the Canadian Rockies.  We can no longer compete with offers made direct to the public or with the special promotions extended to the travel consortia to which we were so committed.  Repeated efforts were made unsuccessfully to correct this issue and it soon became clear that our goal to be competitive was an impossible task.　

Please note that our office will remain open to answer questions you may have. Further, we will be transforming our website into a free information source for those looking for the special information we have enjoyed sharing over the years.  This will take some time to complete and our hope is mountainparktravel.com will remain a useful resource when planning vacations to Canada.

Finally, we want to extend a note of appreciation to the people who believed in the vision of Mountain Park, to the suppliers that believed in price integrity for tour operators, and to the staff that took such care in the preparation of beautiful itineraries, personalized documentation the flawless operation of so many wonderful vacations.  Their dedication was especially important during difficult times and this commitment will be remembered fondly.
